Property Sales and Rentals Still Strong In Marbella Costa del Sol

Submitted by admin on Wednesday, 23 June 20106 Comments

marbella-property-lorcrimar1The property markets of the world have taken a tumble recently. The recession has hit us all hard and when it comes to buying property, investors have not shown so much interest due to the banks reducing their mortgage lending. Couple this with the property price rises over the last few years in Spain and one can see why things have dried up somewhat.

But it is not all doom and gloom. If you can find a 30% deposit and your fees, Marbella on the Costa del Sol still represents excellent value. Propiedades en venta Costa del Sol as the Spanish refer to them, can still provide investors with the returns that they are looking for.

Firstly we need to mention why Marbella and the Costa del Sol represents such a good return on investment, even during these volatile times that we currently live in.

Marbella has for around 25 years or more, been the home of the rich and famous on the Costa del Sol. It’s sort of like the St Tropez, of Spain. Multi million euro mansions, designer stores and extravagant yachts. But it’s not just about the rich and famous.

Many holidaymakers flock here every year for their holidays. With 320 days of sunshine, great beaches, skiing (yes skiing inland), shopping and golf, it’s easy to see why the Costa del Sol has become so popular.

So as an investor, where’s the return? Well, although the sales market as slumped a little of late, the rental markets both long and short term have remained fairly strong. As many people are not buying at the moment, they have shown a greater interest in long term rentals in the area.

The same applies to the short term holiday rental market. The Costa del Sol and Marbella is still a firm favourite with holidaymakers and although rental occupancies are lower than in recent years, there are still very positive signs. There are many beautiful villa rentals in Marbella and other parts of the coast that are available.

So, if you are looking for a great return on your property investment. Take a look at Marbella on the Costa del Sol. It still represents great long term capital growth and short term rental income.
